Meet the team!

Here at Impstones & Cherry Trees we have a dedicated and caring team to guide your child(ren) through the first part of their learning journey.

All the team members are Paediatric First Aid qualified (which includes Epilepsy and Epipen Training) and have Safeguarding Level 3.

We are also working towards being a Communication Friendly setting, having undertaken training in Makaton and use of Visual Aids.

Lead Safeguarding Officer (LV 4)

Family Liaison

Hi, I'm Amanda and I've been working at Impstones since February 2008 and have been the Manager since December 2012.

I have lived in Tadley for most of my life and am married with 2 children, who are now at secondary school!!  They both attended Impstones, which is how I began working here:)

I have a great passion for educating children and feel this early stage of their development plays a vital role in how they will grow throughout their school life and then on in to adulthood.

I look forward to working with your child(ren) and your family to help you with the transition of separation and then on to 'big school' life!!

Speech & Language Lead

Hi, my name is Vickie. I live in Baughurst with my husband and four boys!

I started working at Impstone in October 2014 and I am thoroughly enjoying my days at the preschool. Previously I was a paediatric nurse on the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital which I thoroughly enjoyed, however, I left to focus on my family.

I take great pride in working as part of a team and helping, along with the other team members, to give your child(ren) a positive, secure, fun and safe environment to help their future learning.

I am excited to be working with your family and I am always available if you need to discuss anything.

Hi, my name is Katie, I started working for Impstone at the beginning of January 2016, taking on the role of Deputy at Cherry Trees for September 2019.

I live locally with my 2 Children, both who attend Burnham Copse Primary School.

I am a qualified childcare practitioner and have worked in nurseries with 0-5yr olds since leaving college in 2005.  I also spent a short time working at a special needs school at the beginning of my career.

I enjoy socialising with my friends and spending time with my family, having fun days out and going on bike rides.

I am enthusiastic and excited to get to know your children and help them to learn and grow :)

Personal, Social, Emotional Lead

Hi All, Some of you may possibly recognise me as my eldest child Oakley attended Impstone up until July 2017, he is now at ‘big school’. My daughter Bluebell now attends the preschool too. I live in Tadley with my husband and two children. Up until recently I’ve been working part time in the evenings, but am so happy to be able to return to the childcare field and utilise my skills once more!

I have an Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies and Psychology and also a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy - essentially meaning that I have lots of experience in working with children and young people, using play as a therapeutic tool to work out problems or concerns.

I have been working with children and families for over 15 years now in a range of settings including nurseries, hospitals, Children’s Hospice, Children’s Centres and as a self-employed Play Therapist. I’m really looking forward to starting this new venture with the Impstone team and working with you and your children!

Personal, Social & Emotional Practitioner

Hi, my name is Rachel. Many of you would have seen me around Impstone before as a parent, volunteer and Secretary for the Parent Management Committee.

I live in Pamber Heath, with my husband and two children, both who attend Burnham Copse Primary School. I enjoy spending time with my family, and going on days out (I hate staying in as that means housework!!!). I enjoy crochet, have a strong musical background & still play the flute & sing for my own entertainment (and my children's).

I previously studied Primary Education, and have worked with children in both Key Stage 1 & 2. After working for a finance company, retail and adult care work, it is lovely to be back working with children. I love the freedom to be creative that the EYFS framework provides.

You're most likely to find me making playdough, and I love seeing a child’s imagination & roleplay skills develop as they become more confident.

I look forward to meeting you and your child, and I hope they enjoy Impstone & Cherry Trees Preschools as much as my children have.

Safeguarding Support and Health & Safety

Hi, my name is Emma. I live in Tadley with my husband, two boys and two cats. I qualified as a childcare practitioner in 2014 and I joined Impstones in May 2018, having previously worked in a nursery and as a registered childminder.

I love the outdoors and animals, but when I'm forced back inside I like to draw, read and spend time with my family.

I find it enormously rewarding to watch children develop and achieve their full potential and I'm looking forward to welcoming you and your child(ren) into the pre-school, as I believe it's important to make all children feel safe and happy.

Hey! My name is Jennifer and I live in Tadley with my partner and two children.

I've been part of this team for a long while now! I started here on a college placement in Dec 2012 then came back again in Dec 2013. I then got employed at the beginning of 2014 and have basically been here ever since (with some time off to have my babies!) I am planning to get my Level 3 in childcare in the near future ?!

I have another job at Tadley swimming pool as a receptionist! I've worked there since 2012, but I'm only there one evening a week so I can make the most of my family!

I take great pride and happiness in the work I do to make sure you and your children are happy and settled in our setting.

Love to get to know you and your family and look forward the adventure ahead of us! X

Speech & Language Practitioner

ello, my name is Carrie. I joined Cherry Trees Preschool in 2011. As a qualified early years practitioner, I feel blessed to be able to give our children such a fantastic foundation and super start to school life. It's an honour to help empower children to believe in themselves and all that they are. To support, motivate and encourage children in all areas of their development, to ignite their imaginations and instill a love of learning.

Seeing our children flourish as individuals is truly heart warming. I feel privileged to be part of a child's learning journey.

I look forward to working with you and your family.

EMMA NICHOLSON - Maternity Leave

We work closely with local schools and colleges, which means at times we will have Student Practitioners within the setting.  All of whom will be assessed for suitability and a dedicated mentor will be with them at all times during their assignment to our setting.

Our belief in learning doesn't stop as soon as a child moves on to 'big school'!

We truly believe learning is for life and we actively encourage all those that would like to learn in whatever way we can, no matter what their age!
