Meet the team!

Here at Impstones we have a dedicated and caring team to guide your child(ren) through the first part of their learning journey.

All the team members are Paediatric First Aid qualified (which includes Epilepsy and Epipen Training) and have Safeguarding Level 3.

Lead Safeguarding Officer (LV 4)

Hi, I'm Amanda and I've been working at Impstones since February 2008 and have been the Manager since December 2012.

I have lived in Tadley for most of my life and am married with 2 children who are now at secondary school!!  They both attended Impstones, which is how I began working here:)

I have a great passion for educating children and feel this early stage of their development plays a vital role in how they will grow throughout their school life and then on in to adulthood.

I look forward to working with your child(ren) and your family to help you with the transition of separation and then on to 'big school' life!!

Inclusion Officer - inc Speech Therapy & Behaviour Management

Hi, my name is Vickie. I live in Baughurst with my husband and four boys!

I started working at Impstone in October 2014 and I am thoroughly enjoying my days at the preschool. Previously I was a paediatric nurse on the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital which I thoroughly enjoyed, however, I left to focus on my family.

I take great pride in working as part of a team and helping, along with the other team members, to give your child(ren) a positive, secure, fun and safe environment to help their future learning.

I am excited to be working with your family and I am always available if you need to discuss anything.

Lead Senior Practitioner

Hi, my name is Katie, I started working for Impstone at the beginning of January 2016.

I live locally with my husband and 2 Children, both who attend Burnham Copse Primary School.

I am a qualified childcare practitioner and have worked in nurseries with 0-5yr olds since leaving college in 2005.  I also spent a short time working at a special needs school at the beginning of my career.

I enjoy socialising with my friends and spending time with my family, having fun days out, going away in our caravan and going on bike rides.

I am enthusiastic and excited to get to know your children and help them to learn and grow :)

Behaviour Management Officer

Hi All, Some of you may possibly recognise me as my eldest child Oakley attended Impstone up until July 2017, he is now at ‘big school’. My daughter Bluebell now attends the preschool too. I live in Tadley with my husband and two children. Up until recently I’ve been working part time in the evenings, but am so happy to be able to return to the childcare field and utilise my skills once more!

I have an Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies and Psychology and also a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy - essentially meaning that I have lots of experience in working with children and young people, using play as a therapeutic tool to work out problems or concerns.

I have been working with children and families for over 15 years now in a range of settings including nurseries, hospitals, Children’s Hospice, Children’s Centres and as a self-employed Play Therapist. I’m really looking forward to starting this new venture with the Impstone team and working with you and your children!

2yr Lead Practitioner

Emotional Wellbeing Officer

Hello, I joined the Impstone team in July 2017.  Before my employment, I was a parent helper for over a year when both my sons attended. I also have a daughter, my eldest.  My children are now at school.

I have a background in childcare, which stems from being part of a large family. I am the eldest of 8 children, so looking after young children has always been part of my life and comes quite naturally to me.  I have working and voluntary experience in many childcare establishments since I left school in 2003 and qualified in my Level 3 Childcare Diploma in 2007.

Over the last 10 years I have taken time to be at home to be with my own children. During this time, I have worked in a local day nursery and taken many family learning courses.  I was a baby signing teacher for a short period, which I absolutely loved, which led to me doing my introduction and Level 1 Makaton training.

I am also a trained Breast Feeding Peer Supporter-which essentially means that I am a trained listener :)

I hope that this means you will find me approachable if you ever need or want to talk about anything.

I am always ready with a smile and look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your child.

Hello, I'm Jennifer Nash and I've been working here on and off for nearly 4 years!  I started as an apprentice when I was 18, now having had 2 children and am looking forward to starting on the learning path to gain my Level 3 qualification in Child Care.

I used to play football but sadly had to give it up due to work commitments.

I love my food and animals, they are my soft spot.

My dad made brooms for Harry Potter as my Grandad was well known for making Besom Brooms before he passed away.

This is just a little bit about me, you're more than welcome to ask more about me if you want to :-)

I look forward to getting to know your child and your family!

Health & Safety Officer

Hi, my name is Rachel. Many of you would have seen me around the setting before as a parent, volunteer and Secretary for the Parent Management Committee.

I live in Pamber Heath, with my husband and two children, both who attend Burnham Copse Primary School. I enjoy spending time with my family, and going on days out (I hate staying in as that means housework!!!). I enjoy crochet, have a strong musical background & still play the flute & sing for my own entertainment (and my children's).

I previously studied Primary Education, and have worked with children in both Key Stage 1 & 2. After working for a finance company, retail and adult care work, it is lovely to be back working with children. I love the freedom to be creative that the EYFS framework provides.

You're most likely to find me making playdough, and I love seeing a child’s imagination & roleplay skills develop as they become more confident.

I look forward to meeting you and your child, and I hope they enjoy Impstone Preschool as much as my children have.

Bank Staff

Hi, my name is Emma. I live in Tadley with my husband, two boys and two cats. I qualified as a childcare practitioner in 2014 and I joined Impstones in May 2018, having previously worked in a nursery and as a registered childminder.

I love the outdoors and animals, but when I'm forced back inside I like to draw, read and spend time with my family.

I find it enormously rewarding to watch children develop and achieve their full potential and I'm looking forward to welcoming you and your child(ren) into the pre-school, as I believe it's important to make all children feel safe and happy.

We work closely with local schools and colleges, which means at times we will have Student Practitioners within the setting.  All of whom will be assessed for suitability and a dedicated mentor will be with them at all times during their assignment to our setting.

Our belief in learning doesn't stop as soon as a child moves on to 'big school'!

We truly believe learning is for life and we actively encourage all those that would like to learn in whatever way we can, no matter what their age!
